The short version
- We collect what we need to run your account and tailor your resume: your email, your name, your resumes, and the job posting you ask us to tailor them for.
- We do not sell your data and we do not show ads. Talorify uses third-party AI services, including Google, for the AI work: what you submit to them is processed under their own terms and privacy policies (see "Third-party AI services" below).
- We never see your card number. Payments are handled by Paddle.
- You can delete your resumes, your history, or your whole account at any time.
Who we are
Talorify is a Chrome extension and website made by Kre8mind. In this policy, "we", "us" and "Talorify" mean Kre8mind. You can reach us through the contact form on our website.
What we collect
Account details
Your email address and your name, either typed in when you sign up or provided by Google if you choose "Continue with Google". We also store your plan (Free or Pro), your time zone (for example Africa/Lagos), and how many tailorings, cover letters and interview preps you have used today, so the daily limits can start again at midnight where you are.
Your resumes
When you upload a resume, we read the text out of it and keep that text (and the file name) in your account so you can tailor it again later. You can keep up to 3 base resumes on Free and 15 on Pro. Deleting a resume removes it from your account.
Job postings you tailor for
When you ask Talorify to match or tailor a resume, the extension reads the job posting on the page you are viewing (title, company, description) and sends it, together with your resume text, to our server so the tailoring can be done. Talorify only reads the page when you use it on that page; it does not collect your browsing history.
Your tailored results
Your recent tailorings (the tailored resume, scores and the job details) are kept on your device in the extension. Free accounts keep them for 24 hours; Pro accounts for 7 days unless they choose 24 hours. They are cleared when they expire.
Your saved answers and your applications
If you use autofill, you can save the answers that application forms keep asking for: your LinkedIn and portfolio links, salary expectation, notice period, years of experience, and whether you are authorised to work, need sponsorship or would relocate. If you use "Mark as applied", we keep a list of the jobs you applied to (the company, the role, the link to the job, the date, the name of the tailored resume you used, your match score and its status), and for your 30 most recent applications a copy of the tailored resume you sent and the key requirements and opening of the job description, so you can download the resume again from any device. If you use interview prep (a Pro feature), your resume and those job details are sent to our AI service to write the questions, and the questions and answers it writes are kept with that application. All of this is saved to your account so they follow you when you sign in on another computer, and they are kept on your device for speed. Only you can read them: each account can reach only its own row. We do not use them for anything other than showing them back to you and filling the forms you ask us to fill. Autofill never fills sensitive questions such as gender, race, veteran or disability status, and it never submits a form. Removing an application keeps a small marker for up to 30 days so that your other devices learn about it, and then it is gone. You can change your answers or remove applications at any time in the extension.
Waitlist and contact forms
If you join the waitlist we store your email address. If you write to us through the contact form, we keep your name, email and message so we can reply.
Keeping the service fair
To stop one person from making many accounts to get around the daily limits, we do two things. When you sign up, your email address is checked against a list of disposable email services, and a plain copy of it (without dots or "+" tags, which point to the same mailbox) is kept so the same mailbox cannot be used twice. When you use the AI features, the extension sends a random identifier that it made and keeps on your device, and the request arrives from a network address. We keep only scrambled (hashed) versions of these two, not the identifier or the address itself, for up to 45 days, to notice when many accounts come from one device or one network. They are not used to identify you, for advertising, or shared with anyone.
Payment information
If you buy a Pro pass, checkout is run by Paddle, our payment provider and merchant of record. Paddle collects your card or other payment details, your billing country and any tax details. We receive only what we need to run your pass: which pass you bought, the amount, and a payment reference. Talorify keeps the date your Pro pass ends. We never receive or store your full card number.
How we use it
- To read your resume and the job, score the match, and write the tailored version you asked for.
- To run your account: signing you in, applying your plan and daily allowance, keeping your resumes available.
- To take payment and give you Pro access when you buy a pass.
- To answer your messages, and to send you the launch and product updates you asked for by joining the waitlist. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To keep the service secure and to limit abuse.
We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we send information to an AI service only when it is needed to give you a feature you asked for.
Third-party AI services
Talorify uses third-party artificial intelligence services to process the information you submit when it writes tailored resumes, cover letters and interview prep. At the moment that service is Google's Gemini. Your resume text and the job posting (and, for interview prep, the details of the job you applied to) are sent to Google through our server for each request, and the result is sent back to you.
Google processes what we send under its own terms, privacy policy and data-use practices, which we do not control. Please do not include information you would not want a third party to process, such as government ID numbers, bank details or health information.
We do not sell your resume or personal information. We send information to an AI service only when it is needed to give you a feature you asked for. We do not keep a separate copy of a job posting on our server after a request is complete, apart from what you choose to save in your account: your resumes, your applications, and the interview prep written for them. We can change the AI service we use; if we do, this section will say so.
Who else handles your data
We rely on a small number of service providers, each only for the job described:
- Supabase hosts our database and sign-in (your account, plan and saved resumes).
- Google provides the Gemini AI models used for tailoring and, if you choose it, Google sign-in.
- Paddle processes payments and taxes as merchant of record for Pro passes.
- Vercel hosts this website.
- Formspree delivers messages sent through our contact form.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
What the extension can access, and why
The Talorify extension asks Chrome for these permissions:
- Read pages you visit (all websites): job postings live on thousands of different sites, so Talorify needs to be able to recognise one on whichever site you open. It reads the page only to detect the job and, when you ask, to extract its details.
- Active tab, tabs and scripting: to know which page you are on and to read that page when you use Talorify.
- Storage: to save your session, settings and recent tailorings on your device.
- Identity: to let you sign in with Google.
- Downloads: to save the resume files you export.
- Side panel: to show Talorify next to the page.
Talorify does not sell or share what it reads from web pages, and it does not use it for anything other than the features described here.
How long we keep things
- Account details and saved resumes: until you delete them or your account.
- Recent tailorings on your device: 24 hours (Free) or up to 7 days (Pro).
- Saved answers, your applications list and the resume copies, job details and interview prep kept with it: until you change or remove them, or delete your account.
- Payment records: kept by Paddle and by us for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
- Scrambled device and network identifiers used to spot many accounts on one device or network: up to 45 days.
- Waitlist and contact messages: until you ask us to remove them.
Your choices and rights
You can delete any resume inside the extension. To have your account and everything attached to it deleted, or to see, correct or export the data we hold about you, contact us through the contact form and we will act on it. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or UK GDPR), you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections, and each account can reach only its own saved resumes, answers and applications. No online service can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you give us.
Children
Talorify is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us their data, contact us through the contact form and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you inside the extension or by email.
